McInnis'
Kitchen
Guest Performers

McInnis' Kitchen
performs music inspired by the traditional Celtic music from Ireland, Newfoundland and the Canadian Maritimes. They have been featured at festivals and concerts internationally and have appeared on television and radio programs in the US and Canada.

McInnis’ Kitchen concerts transcend performance and evoke a special world of traditional culture and storytelling, giving their performances a feel of a downhome kitchen party. Their music encompasses a tradition rooted in a colorful history of immigration, uprooting and relocation, and a celebration of life and culture in their most basic forms.

In places like the Newfoundland and Cape Breton, the kitchen is the central core of activity in the home, especially for entertaining friends and for gatherings. The social aspect of the kitchen party tradition was an influential part of the cultural upbringing of members of McInnis' Kitchen. Even today, the essence of those kitchen party traditions find their way into every McInnis' Kitchen performance, providing audiences a sense of being a part of that downhome tradition. website
